Ministry Updates from Jason and Janice Rose

Celebrating recent Birthdays! We celebrated the recent birthdays of Shimon (9), Binyamin (7) and Gidon (3) with one big party this week. We were so blessed to have so many of their close friends come to our apartment. With so many kids, we expected a lot of altercations, but these were great kids and behaved so well!  We were really impressed but how much fun they had without any problems. One of Janice's good friends made each boy a special cake with their favorite colors and characters! Such talent! For two of them the birthday party was quite delayed because of logistics, but it was great for them to share a party! The kids had a great time, and the parents also had an amazing time too as they got caught up with each other. We love hosting these kinds of events in our home! This week's Big Summer Hurrah! Recently, we held an event for young adults. Jason was introduced to a young man who is just starting on his faith journey. He has just started reading the New Testament and we were able to encourage him in his faith. We were so blessed to learn afterwards that someone is already following up with him and has a wonderful discipleship program at his disposal. Would you pray for John (not his real name), that God would continue to instill a hunger for the scriptures and desire to learn and grow. We invited John to some of our other activities and hope to continue to encourage him. A few people came who had never been to one of our Young Adults events. One person was really blessed by the time we dedicated to socializing. Another person was really touched by the short message that was given after the meal. It occurs to us that some people don't have the opportunity to read all of our updates and since it's been a while, we felt like it was time to provide a brief update about the kinds of ministry that we do on an ongoing basis, the challenges we face (see below) and fruit of these efforts.   To start with, one of the blessings about being a ministry family is that our children have the opportunity to be a part of this ministry. They do not participate in everything, but they are present at a lot of our events. They hear how we minister and we are often able to explain why we share the gospel with people and what we share with people.  Shimon (prominently pictured here), asked Jason at breakfast if one of Jason's friends believes in God. Jason respond, well yes, this friend believes in God but he doesn't believe that Jesus is his Messiah yet. Shimon respond, "well he believes in God. That's step ONE." This was simply a breakfast table conversation. 

Some details and the schedule. Details : We are just beginning to plan our Fall Trip to the USA. And if you were hoping to invite us to speak in your church or small group meeting, we are very open. We are even open for a cup of coffee! Jason really likes coffee! We already have a fixed schedule in certain places and some meetings are either scheduled or in the process, but we would like to give you the general dates and the areas where we will be. We would appreciate your prayers for this BIG trip. During this trip Jason will be preaching and teaching, probably on the following topics:  The Fall Feasts of Israel , Israel in Prophecy , Messianic Prophecy , How to share the Gospel with your Jewish Friends . Of course, we are always open to teaching on other topics if there is a request. I was recently invited to represent Chosen People Ministries, along with another colleague, at a special dinner hosted by the Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries ( Firm ). This event, in many ways highlights the very best of the body of Messiah in Israel. So what is FIRM? The reason I've chosen to share about this event, is because of the significant mission of this "fellowship." It's a mission that I fully support and I think you should too! As you probably know, lots of people say that they support Israel. I have personally spoken with many people who give financially to ministers and ministries in Israel. FIRM exists to authenticate and verify that these ministries are the right match for the ministry partner. More than once, I have spoken with a pastor whose church supports a pro-Israel organization only to discover later that the organization wasn't even operated by believers.
