Ministry Updates from Jason and Janice Rose

We are so excited!!! Our Tel Aviv area ministry center has been found !  We can official say that we have rented a location for our Tel Aviv Ministry Center!  Renovations will begin shortly!  It doesn't look like much yet... but wait until you see what we have planned!!! There are many stories we can tell you about how this breakthrough finally happened. We struggled with discrimination based upon our beliefs and many owners turned us down. BUT this owner was a pleasure to work with! He was very open to renting us and already rents to another Messianic organization. Jason just got of the phone with someone from the owner's office, who used to do work for a separate Messianic Congregation years ago. We prayed and ask you for prayer for an open door, and our prayers were answered well beyond what we could have imagined. These guys are not just open to renting us, they WANT to rent to us! The Hoopoe is the national bird of Israel. I've always loved these birds, even before they were the national bird. They look like a very pretty woodpecker but forage on the ground, primarily. They have a kind of crown on top of their head, which may explain what " The hoopoe is the king of the birds in the  Ancient Greek  comedy  The Birds  by  Aristophanes " ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoopoe) We saw this pretty bird on our way home from congregation on Shabbat.

Our Jaffa Distribution Center renovations are looking good! Jason was there just a few days ago and had a chance to talk about the renovations one of the workers. The walls were almost all up and the ceiling was nearly complete. What was once a pretty grungy looking carpentry shop was now starting to look like a nice place to visit.  We are not going to share the photos with you until its finished... But we think you are going to love it! Please pray that this renovation will finish by the end of the month, so that we can start providing food for the many new people wait to receive help from us!

I'm giving a short message on the Parashat Hashavuah (Portion of the week) today. As I'm going over the text in Hebrew, I find it interesting how so many terms in English are very different than the Hebrew. So, I thought I would share a couple, just for you to think about. 1) The Tent of Meeting . In Hebrew is OHEL MOED אוהל מועד - Tent of Appointed Times. The term Moed is interesting because it's used by God to refer to all of the "Feasts of the Lord." It is based on the root word עד [ed] which means witness. When our people were wondering in the wilderness, they were called to assemble at this place to witness the existence and presence of God, sometimes directly and sometimes through the powerful witness of His servant Moses. 2) The Ark of the Covenant . Not to be confuse with Noah's Ark which are two completely different Hebrew words. In Hebrew the Ark of the Covenant is ארן העדת [Aron Ha-edut] - cabinet of testimony.   Notice that both ite

Contract Negotiations - We are nearly there... We are very close to finalizing the rental contract for our new Tel Aviv Ministry Center (name to be decided later). We need your prayers for a good conclusion to these negotiations. The owner seems pretty accommodating. Its just technical decisions for the most part. Please pray that we would be able to seal the deal early next week. School Update Jason just sat down with a professional to discuss making a new, professional, video for the school. He has agreed to help us and we will start next week! We have been working in several directions, from grant writing to online marketing. The contract negotiations for our new Tel Aviv Area Ministry Center are ongoing. We need your prayers as the next few days are critical. We have received a reasonable contract. Our lawyers are making a few clarifications and then their lawyers will respond etc... If all goes well, we should have the keys to the location early next week! As you probably already know, my wife is pregnant with our FIFTH son. We have just a few weeks to go and would really appreciate your prayers. This is the hardest part of the pregnancy when she is the most uncomfortable. So please pray for her and for the Baby. Also please pray for the rest of us boys as we adjust to being much more helpful around the house. Specifically, our oldest and most capable helper is having trouble understanding why we are asking so much of him. Your prayers are very much appreciated! We have been looking for nearly a year for a suitable location for an outreach center. Without going into great detail, we have a good potential location. We are in contract negotiations. Please pray!

We spent many hours, days, weeks and even months looking for the perfect facility for our humanitarian aid center in Jaffa. We had very simple criteria. It had to be: 1) inexpensive 2) easy to get to 3) accessible for elderly 4) large enough to store food for 500 families a month 5) a bathroom We found a location but by the beginning of the year, the contract details were taking so long, that the owner got impatient with us and rented the facility to someone else. Right away, I found another great location, right across the street! Those negotiations also took a long time... I'm not sure why. In any case, we have the keys and are hoping that by July 1st, we will open the Distribution Center and start feeding needy people.

This caused me to ponder the perspective that so many Israeli believers hold regarding this region and how so few outside this region really understand its, history, importance and significance.
