A busy week, full and fulfilling!

We just want to let you know about a few great activities this week.  By God's grace on Monday, we had a special banquet with music for Holocaust Survivors. It was sponsored by a ministry team from the USA who came to minister along side us. We wrote about this event already, so we won't go into more detail, we just want to point out how phenomenal it is to have a ministry team for a week! Following that event one of our ministry partners hosted a discipleship training event. This was developed to help believers learn how to encourage and minister to others. It is a leadership building series with a strong emphasis on teaching people how to share the Gospel in their workplace. On Wednesday, we held a special English Story Hour for Kids. A guest from overseas came and led the one hour program with a Bible Story and a really fun block painting craft. We also held our Bi-weekly Bible Study that evening. Special Event for Holocaust Survivors

This week we were blessed to host a special event for holocaust survivors in the Greater Tel Aviv Messianic Center - which we call HaMercaz (the Center).  About 40 survivors came. We have several staff members who work extensively with Holocaust survivors and they did a wonderful job organizing this event. There was about an hour of music and a full banquet meal. The event was sponsored by a missions team from the USA who wanted to bless Holocaust survivors in Israel.  The following day, they sponsored an identical event in the southern part of the country for another group of Holocaust survivors.  They also packed food packages for distribution to needy families. It is so refreshing and encouraging when groups come from abroad and choose to come serve along side us. Without their financial contributions we couldn't bless these holocaust survivors with a banquet, but with their contributions together with the relationships with have through our staff, enabled us to demonstrate Go

Quiet on the Southern Border

At 2:30am this morning we awoke to the good news of a ceasefire. In the last 48 hours: 234 Israelis were injured, 4 killed and the terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip had fired 690 rockets into Israel.  Many people are wondering what happened. So, I'm gong to take just a few minutes and explain it in a little more detail, but I will try to be concise. On Friday, May 3rd, the Hamas arranged a protest along the Israeli - Gaza border called the March of Return. They have repeated this protest every Friday for one year. The stated goal, is not just a protest but an attempt to breach the border and return to the historic family homes that were left in 1948 ~ literally to March and Return to their historic villages.  There is a lot of history here.  To summarize the history.  In 1948, even before the Israel's declaration of Independence [5/20/1948], on November 29, 1947, the UN announced it's partition plan for the British Mandate Palestine creating two states for
