Fall Holidays and more

SUKKOT

Yom Kippur - Bicycles on the Freeway.

We are now nearing the end of the Fall holidays. As a write this update, there is a sukkah (tabernacle in Biblical Hebrew) in my living room. Yes, you're right, they are normally outside, but we live in an apartment and there aren't a lot of options outside for us. So we set it up near a big open window. The boys have enjoyed sleeping in the sukkah at night. We have eaten in the sukkah also. It's a fun holiday filled with great memories, like searching the neighborhood for palm branches.  Eating in other people's sukkoth! It's great!

Upcoming Cafe Events

This week we will have our first Cafe Night following the holidays. The musician has invited a lot of his friends. The last holiday, Simchat Hatorah, which is a rabbinic holiday will just be ending that night. This means that public transportation will be limited. Nevertheless, our musician really wants to serve the Lord and play in spite of the fact that some of his fans and friends may not be able to make it. Please pray that the Lord opens the doors to bring people in to be encouraged in their faith, inspired by the music and edified.

We have a bigger event scheduled for October 19th!  We would really appreciate your prayers for this event too. We will have two talented musicians coming as we partner with another ministry that has  a similar outreach event.
