Physical Needs for the Greater Tel Aviv Messianic Center
Some people have asked if we have any needs at the Greater Tel Aviv Messianic Center.
At the moment, there are needs and you can help if you would like. Here's a list of things that we would really love to have. But before you get too excited, please keep in mind that if you want to buy something and ship it to us (which would be awesome!) that Israeli customs does make some things a little more challenging. Any package that has a value of $75 is taxed 17% by the recipient. And that doesn't mean that they assume the sender valued it correctly, they have their own price lists. In many cases, it's probably easiest to purchase things locally here in Israel, but certainly, you can send something in the mail if you want, as long as the package is valued less than $75.
List of needs:
1. A simultaneous Translation system
2. COOL coffee mugs. We really need these!
3. Stage Lighting. We need a few of these. or similar.
4. Children's Books in English - Big ones for reading stories to kids in a group
5. Bibles in various languages.
6. Items for Kids room, like a flannel graph.
I'm sure we will think about more things, but these are the most pressing needs. We are so grateful for anything you can send.
On a personal note, Janice's phone has become almost useless. We purchased her an iPhone 4s in 2013 since we use a lot of Apple products in order to keep all of our photos and documents organized. After four years her iPhone barely works. The CPU just isn't fast enough anymore. It's so slow that even taking a photo takes forever to start. Facebook won't even open. We really need to get her a replacement. If someone has a used iPhone that you would like to send our way, we would be very grateful. I know a lot of people get free upgrades with their service contracts, but here in Israel we have to purchase the phones outright and they are usually significantly more expensive.
