A God Story - The Fallen Child


Kids love to play with their siblings and our kids are no different. In 2014, we were in the USA visiting Jason's parents. They had a wonderful basement with a room dedicated to toys. Our boys loved playing down there and their cousins did too. The problem was that the baby, Eitan (his name means MIGHTY in Hebrew), also loved playing down there with his brothers, but he was too little to do the stairs... way too little!

We brought a child gate to put at the top of the stairs and brought the crawling baby into the living room. After the meal, all of the kids went to play downstairs, except for the baby, of course. When his cousins and brothers kept coming and going, climbing over the gate, he followed them. At one point, he was so focused on going downstairs to play with all of the other "big" kids, that he pushed and shoved the gate so hard that it released and glided down the stairs with the baby on top. Later the older cousins described his descent like surfer lying on his tummy. We heard the crash and the sound of children yelling for adults to come fast. We ran and inspected the baby. He seemed unhurt, except for being terrified! The doctors agreed. Not even a bruise, even though he fell 13 steps.

To this day, we have some interesting applications. First, Eitan always considers himself a big boy and wants to do whatever his older brothers are doing. So nothing has changed from that standpoint. Second, we became experts on how to make sure even a "mighty" baby can't move a baby gate. Third and more important, the boys often tell the story of how God's angels kept their little brother safe, when he fell down the stairs. They often quote this verse:

"For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways" (Ps 91:11).

Prayer Requests regarding the recent uptick in Rocket fire, Riots and terror attacks

Dear friends and ministry partners, In recent days there have been several rocket attacks at Israel from the terror organizations in the Gaza Strip and in Southern Lebanon. As of the writing of this prayer request about 80 rockets have been fired.  On the one hand, this is a major escalation, yet on the other hand, there is always some expected escalation around the Islamic holiday of Ramadan.  For the entire month, we normally experience riots and other violence with terror organizations often calling for terror attacks against civilians. This year we have already experienced a large increase in terror attacks and the Israeli security establishment has been working hard to thwart terror continuously.  They stated in the news recently that they have been able to thwart over 200 planned terror attacks since the beginning of the year.  The success of their efforts is apparent, but not as apparent as their failure to thwart terror attacks.  This morning two sisters in their 20's were

Important Update! Significant News to report!

Dear Prayer Partners, Jason and Janice Rose We are really excited to share some incredibly amazing news! This update is a bit longer than usual, but our big news is here at the beginning!  We are incredibly blessed by your prayerful support of our ministry. God has truly expanded and stretched us, as we have grown into the ministers that we are today. Through that growth, the Lord also expanded the team of people that minister alongside us. When we relocated to Israel in 2015, Mitch Glaser (President of Chosen People Ministries) asked us to start a Messianic Center in Ramat Gan. We had previously started a Messianic Center in South Tel Aviv, but the area grew dangerous over time. Although we loved the facility, we were renting it and that provided a measure of instability.
