December Celebrations



Hanukah

In December we had a few really fun events.  We had parties for Hanukah and two birthdays in the same week!

Janice made her own SUFGANIOT (traditional Hanukah Doughnuts)
We had family celebrations all week!
We also enjoyed community celebrations!
Someone kept a close watch on his little brother!

While others tried to eat doughnuts off a string (blindfolded)


Birthday Celebrations

On December 25, Eitan celebrated his 4th birthday. We celebrated with the traditional chocolate tart with strawberries!  

On December 28th, Yonatan celebrated his 9th birthday. He requested a coconut pie with chocolate drizzle and chocolate covered crust. Chef Yonatan surprised us again with an amazing creation!

Prayer Requests regarding the recent uptick in Rocket fire, Riots and terror attacks

Dear friends and ministry partners, In recent days there have been several rocket attacks at Israel from the terror organizations in the Gaza Strip and in Southern Lebanon. As of the writing of this prayer request about 80 rockets have been fired.  On the one hand, this is a major escalation, yet on the other hand, there is always some expected escalation around the Islamic holiday of Ramadan.  For the entire month, we normally experience riots and other violence with terror organizations often calling for terror attacks against civilians. This year we have already experienced a large increase in terror attacks and the Israeli security establishment has been working hard to thwart terror continuously.  They stated in the news recently that they have been able to thwart over 200 planned terror attacks since the beginning of the year.  The success of their efforts is apparent, but not as apparent as their failure to thwart terror attacks.  This morning two sisters...

Zoom with the Roses, July 15th

Dear Friends, First, I must apologize that the last email that went out had an old subject line from April. These emails are built on more than one platform and I forgot to double check the settings on one of the platforms before it was sent out. Sorry about the confusion. Second, the contents of the email were correct. We are hopeful that we will be able to arrange a Zoom meeting with some of our prayer partners, and as the Lord enables, we would like to do this more.  Here are the details.  We know that some of you won't be able to make this because of prior commitments, and that is expected, but for those who can make, we are honored that you would choose to spend some time with us on Zoom.
