Dear Friends, First, I must apologize that the last email that went out had an old subject line from April. These emails are built on more than one platform and I forgot to double check the settings on one of the platforms before it was sent out. Sorry about the confusion. Dear friends and ministry partners, In recent days there have been several rocket attacks at Israel from the terror organizations in the Gaza Strip and in Southern Lebanon. As of the writing of this prayer request about 80 rockets have been fired.  On the one hand, this is a major escalation, yet on the other hand, there is always some expected escalation around the Islamic holiday of Ramadan.  For the entire month, we normally experience riots and other violence with terror organizations often calling for terror attacks against civilians. This year we have already experienced a large increase in terror attacks and the Israeli security establishment has been working hard to thwart terror continuously.  They stated in the news recently that they have been able to thwart over 200 planned terror attacks since the beginning of the year.  The success of their efforts is apparent, but not as apparent as their failure to thwart terror attacks.  This morning two sisters in their 20's were

  Here is the background A terrorist walked into a synagogue (a house of worship) and started shooting innocent civilians as they were getting up to leave the building at the end of the service. This incident falls on the heels of other terrorist attacks and a growing movement towards violence led by extremists.  Earlier in the day, Hamas (the terrorist group that rules the Gaza Strip and it's 2 million people) fired a rocket at civilian populations in Israel.  Over the past several months, they have restrained themselves and others, but the fact that they claimed responsibility for the terror and rocket attack seems to indicate that they are now looking for an escalation.   What are False Equivalencies. Dear Friends,  we need your prayers! Today! An anti-missionary organization (we have a few in Israel) has decided to try and intimidate us. They published an ad (see below) in the local ultra-orthodox Jewish newspaper calling for a mass protest against our Ramat Gan Ministry Center tonight at 7pm Israel time (noon EST).  Technically, they are calling to STOP THE PRAYERS. So we want to start the prayers!   We are NOT going to be intimidated! We are going to hold the event, but we are going to be smart about it. SOME BACKGROUND.  We had  planned a lovely event, with two musicians and their bands that are starting to gain traction and publicity.  Both competed on TV shows for upcoming stars and one is a known believer.  The anti-missionaries are being somewhat dishonest in their ad claiming that we are holding a young adults conference, rather than a public - open for all ages - concert. We filed a police complaint and hope that this may have an affect, and encourage the police to show
